Convert Your Car to Electric for $25K
According to Fox News, conversion kits to convert any car, truck, boat or motorcycle to electric are available for $25K.. the writer of the article says that with gas averaging more than 4/gallon it may just be a good deal.. BS! Gas will need to be $6 or $7 before that pays off. I’m all for electric cars but for that price a conversion doesn’t make sense. The good news is that in a couple years that price will drop by half or so, then maybe conversions make sense. Until then, I’d opt for the Toyota Prius or wait a couple years for the Chevy Volt or the Toyota electric version of the Prius.
